OVERVIEW
Copper Mountain is found in the Summit County in Colorado, home of Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin– but with the big chunk of new terrain (including bowls, chutes, and off-piste acreage) that was made available two years ago– Copper takes the prize as the largest in the area.
Copper is a great place to go to ski, and the town is known to close down early. But with the new high speed quads and high-altitude of the base, sitting there at 9,700 feet, that might be a blessing in disguise. For those with energy to burn, The Summit Valley is close enough for those that need to go into Breckenridge.
