Arapahoe Basin

You Deserve a Vacation!

Overview

It is called “The Legend.” As the highest lift-served ski area in North America, Arapahoe Basin sits on the Continental Divide of Colorado’s Rockies at an elevation of 3,967 meters (13,050 feet), offering legendary skiing on steep terrain.

Opened in 1946, this is a mountain that provides a skiing and snowboarding experience designed primarily with the advanced athlete in mind. Its above-timberline chutes, bowls and extensive, tree-lined glades are inviting to the expert. Intermediates and beginners welcome the gentle, lower bowls and groomed runs.

“The Legend” is known for its spectacular views and natural beauty of its rugged surroundings, as well as the casual, relaxed atmosphere and entertaining events such as “Beachin’ at the Basin” in the spring.

In addition to being able to ride the entire area, snowboarders have access to a snowboard terrain park. Given its elevation and annual snow depth of 914 centimeters (360 inches), Arapahoe Basin often remains open into June.

A variety of accommodations are only 8 km (5 miles) away at Keystone Resort.
